Lauren Gerlin started working for UPenn Athletics and Recreation in July 2021. She was previously a Lead Operations Supervisor for UPenn’s recreation center before entering her new position as Coordinator of Business Development in March 2022. In her role she organizes events and logistics for Penn Departments who wish to use the athletic facilities.
Lauren earned her master’s degree in May 2021 from Boston University in Higher Education Administration and Leadership. In May 2020, she graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Educational Policy.
She worked in a broad array of positions during her undergraduate and graduate studies. She was a Student Manager for Penn State’s Varsity Track and Field team, as well as a Resident Assistant, Dining Commons Student Manager, and Summer Academic Advisor for Penn State. During graduate school, she worked in student conduct at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and in Boston University’s recreation center. She knew she wanted to work in Higher Education, but found her passion for athletics and recreation upon graduating from Boston University.
Lauren currently resides in Philadelphia with her boyfriend, two cats, and a dog.
