Erica Hildenbrand is in her ninth year with Penn Athletics and Recreation and her first as the Director of Campus Outreach. She has spent 16 total years at the University in a variety of roles.Â
In her new role, she connects DRIA, not just Campus Rec, to existing and new partners from other schools and centers across campus. Erica will utilize the extensive campus contact database she has formed during her time at Penn to expand relationships, partnerships, and collaborations. She will continue to promote the benefits of Campus Recreation programming, physical fitness, and wellness to these groups in addition to collaborating with other DRIA departments to promote campus attendance at all ticketed and non-ticketed events through her outreach. This will include promoting hospitality packages, the Penn Relays, Racquet Center programming, and other DRIA facility usage.
Hildenbrand spent her first six years at Penn Athletics as the Executive Assistant and Assistant Chief of Staff for Dr. M. Grace Calhoun, the previous T. Gibbs Kane, Jr. W’69 Director of Athletics and Recreation. Before joining the Division of Recreation and Intercollegiate Athletics, she held positions with the Business Services Division and the School of Nursing.Â
The Syracuse, NY native is a 2004 graduate from Saint Lawrence University, and is pursuing her Master’s degree in Organizational Dynamics from Penn.
A former figure skater, Hildenbrand grew up competing in synchronized skating, eventually coaching young children in her spare time after college.
She lives in Fitler Square, Philadelphia, with her boyfriend and her dog, Malcolm.
