Renovations to Sheerr Pool are tentatively planned to begin in July 2024. Current expectations are that these facility improvements will take over 11 months to complete, during which Sheerr pool will be closed. While these improvements are necessary, we understand the inconvenience this will cause some of our members. During the closure, we recommend that members looking for an alternative pool option contact Drexel Campus Recreation for membership information. Please visit our website for future updates as the project advances.
Message Released on April 11, 2024:
Update on the upcoming Sheerr Pool Renovation Project. Sheerr Pool will go offline to start renovations on July 1, 2024. Although this will cause an inconvenience for our members, these renovations are necessary to keep the pool facility up to date and in working order. As part of the project, the natatorium will receive the following upgrades:
- New bulkhead
- New gutter system with zero depth entry
- New pool entry stair
- Lighting upgrades
- Upgraded filtration and pool mechanical equipment
- Improved ventilation
- Bleacher seating upgrades
- Pool tile replacement
- Life safety improvements
- Accessibility improvements
- Aesthetic enhancements
- New diving boards, starting blocks, and lane line storage
While Sheerr Pool is offline, we have partnered with Drexel Campus Recreation to offer an alternative option for our aquatic users. Drexel will be offering their reduced Affiliate rate for our members. Membership options can be found below:
· 1-month: $45
· 3-months: $100
· Annual: $330
